The present Study is an attempt to analyse women's Political participation in India. It is an established fact that since Vedic age, Women have played a very important role in decision-making process. Their active participation in our freeedom Movement and their sacrifices will always be remebered. In Constituent Assembly, in Parliament as well as in State Legislatures, women's participation have been of a very high degree. As a women parliamentation, their contribution has been very significant as they introduced a number of important Bills and actively participated in the debates and deliberations in both the houses of the Parliament. In India, women have been having a number of important position right from the first Woman Prime Minister, the Chief Ministers and the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. But even today, atrocities against women are committed every day in this male-dominated society. The book, which provides a rare opportunity to debate and discuss the political participation and role of women in Indian Parliament and their struggle for political identity will be of great Interest to all and especially to those who are engaged in women's cause.
