This is a reprint of the report of the Archaeological Remains and Excavations at Sambhar made by Rai Bahadur Daya Ram Sahni, Director of Archaeology and Historical Research, Jaipur State, conducted by him in 1936-38. The site is 54 miles distant from Jaipur and easily accessible. Earlier it was excavated by Col. T.H. Handley in 1884. The antiquities found at the site comprise of about 20 coins including six silver punch-marked coins, six late Indo-Sassanian coins of copper, an Indo-Greek coin of silver.
