This book provides an exhaustive information on plant wealth of Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh represents rich plant diversity (1065 species) with all major categories of vegetation types of Deccan plateau and Eastern Ghats. Some special features of the book are :
1. During 1982 86, 60 field trips were undertaken and 1650 new collections were made in addition to earlier collections from MH, BLAT and CAL herbaria, 2. Descriptions and keys were provided for easy identification of the plants, 3. Line drawings were given for some rare and little known taxa, 4. Up to date nomenclature was cited based on the latest code, and 5. Ecological and phenological data were provided for each taxon.
