This supplement is mainly intended to bring Duthie's flora uptodate. The scope of the work has been maintained in its original form. The names of the families have been generally kept as in Duthie's flora, however as a rule is that of Hutchin-son's families of the flowering plants, but the spellings are that adopted by the International code of Botanical Nomenclature, while the families have been kept in the same sequence as in Duthie's the genera and species under each family have been for the sake of convenience and quick reference, arranged and students of Botany in our Indian University while dealing with plants from the upper Ganetic plain, both in the class-room and the field.
