During Muslim ascendency from 1206 to 1858, a large varity of structures such as Mosques, tombs, sarais, baolis, tanks, places and mansions were constructed in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. These monuments bear inscription in Arebic and Persian which provide rich epigraphic evidence on events., and personage other wise unknown.
