This volume is presented to Professor Hajime Nakamura in recongnition and Honour of his dedicated service to the studies in Indology, particularly to Asina Studies. It is a felicitation of a person like Professor Nakamura who so richly deserves it. In all thirty-two scholars have contributed their learned papers to this volume on various Fields of Indology. The volume has a very wide range of coverage too. It includes varous Topics ranging from Pali Buddhism to Sanskrit Buddhism through Chinese, Archaeology, Indian Philosophical System, Cultural and Literary studies, Dialectics, Philosophy of Language, Iconography, Comparative Ideas and many other related topics. While some scholars have taken up old problems and have thrown new light on them, others have presented new topics in critical perspective.
