ABOUT THE BOOK:
Animal biotechnology includes any use of science or technology to alter the characteristics of a particular breed or animal. Genetic engineering is the manipulation of genetic material, that is, DNA and RNA with the objective of bringing about desired change or innovation. In the present book, effort have made to incorporate the information on animal biotechnology, animal cell and tissue culture, biotechnology and animal cloning in genetic engineering. The book is intended primarily for undergraduate and postgraduate in animal biotechnology, biotechnology, zoology and animal science, whereas it can be used as a reference for researchers and post-doctoral students, teachers and instructors.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Dr. B. S. Paul, (Ph.D. Animal Biotechnology) is a Consultant, served for more than 25 years in various companies with special expertise in the Animal Biotechnology, Animal Genetics. His current areas of major interest are Animal Embryology and Genetic Engineering. He has served as the Faculty of Ahmadu Bello University, Zarik, Kaduna State, Nigeria and taught Animal Biotechnology. |
