ABOUT THE BOOK:
Periodontal regeneration involves cementogenesis, osteogenesis, and formation of the periodontal ligament fibres and apart from residual cementum ,the surface characteristics of the planed root surface have also implications upon the regeneration process. The amounts of remaining calculus, loss of tooth substance and roughness resulting from the use of hand instruments has a bearing on the attachment of fibroblasts and ultimately the type of attachment to the root surface. This has been beautifully illustrated and explained with the medium of landmark studies and recent literature related to the topic, pictorial representation, tabular forms, graphs, to provide a clear comprehensive view about the regulatory role of cementum in periodontal regeneration.

Dr. Divya (b. 1987) B.D.S. M.D.S (Periodontics and Oral Implantology) D.A.V.(C) Dental College, Yamunanagar, Haryana– one of the premier institutions in the North India. She has presented papers and posters at various national and international conferences. She has been actively engaged in organising conferences and publication in her credit. She has worked in Post-Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences Rohtak. In 2011 she visited Oxford University, U.K. for academic work. Now she is actively involved in practicing as Periodontal Surgeon with a special emphasis on Treatment of Gum diseases and bone loss (Chronic and Aggressive Periodontitis), Oral Implantology, Regenerative and resective surgical procedures, Mucogingival and Aesthetic correction surgeries. |
