The first three chapters of the book deal with the academically significant topics such as, Microscope, Preparation of Temperory slide of plant materials and Herbarium Technique. From chapter 4 to 22 the drug for practical study has been described in detail. Chapter 23 deals with the family wise checklist of Medicinal plants included in the B.A.M.S. and M.D. (Ay) syllabus.
Care has been taken to describe the drugs in semi-technical language and to arrange the glossary of terms in alphabetic order. The subject matter and various illustrations have been taken from reliable journels and other authentic sources. Most of the diagrams have been sketched by the author from fresh specimens (dissected flowers and microscopical sections). |
