Arunachal Pradesh is luxuriant in floristic diversity and falls under one of the World's biodiversity hot spot Indo-Burma. Due to its unique phytogeography, topography and favorable climatic conditions like high rainfall and ambient humidity the state represents a high degree of species diversity and a rich store house of various economically important plant species. Upper Subansiri is one of the 16 districts of Arunachal Pradesh, lies between 27-45 N to 28-40 Slatitude and 93-12 E to 94-30 W longitude and spread over an area of 7032 sq.km adjoining to China Tibet border.
