Poetic Art and Craft of Prof. P.K. Mishra here, we are privileged to felicitate Prof. Prafulla Kumar Mishra, Vice Chancellor of North Orissa University a renowned name in the field of creative writing, especially poetry in Sanskrit. In the contemporary Sanskrit writing, there are very few who have done various experiments in poetry making. Prof. Mishra is prominently one among them. After his outstanding teaching and research career of four decades in Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, at his attainment of 60 years was on 28th February 2014. Many uprising scholar in different parts of India rise upto the occasion and contacted us to write on the works of Prof. Mishra. It is heartening that the latest generation in modern Sanskrit is taking interest in the poetic art and craft of Prof. Mishra who is a prolific writer and poet with fresh shades of images, symbols and insight. His choice of them and composition of poetic sentences are unique. Refracting many undiscovered colours of the consciousness in the poetry, he has been able to activate the imaginations of modern Sanskrit world.
