Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was a sensitive and articulate Kashmiri Muslim man whose antipathy toward socioeconomic inequity and political disenfranchisement of the downtrodden people of Jammu and Kashmir sharpened his political consciousness and impelled him to work for the realization of the seemingly unachievable dream of the education, empowerment, and emancipation of the marginalized populace of the state.
