This volume presents a multiple stand points on various aspects of Ambedkar's vision on the future of Dalits in India. Undoubtedly Dalit studies have a lot of scope both by the outsiders and insiders, be it the Dalit vision of Indian society or construction of Dalit, as a category by social scientist. Various forms of discrimination existed against them since time immemorial and they exist even today, only the forms of discrimination and atrocities have changed because of rising awareness among them. Today, the concept of society from below, or Dalit's vision of their own cultural traditions and their integration into other communities, has gained prominence. Hence, accordingly the mainstream social scientists had to change their fixed space for the Dalits and present a multi-point analysis. In fact, unilinear history is no longer the cup of tea for the mainstream social scientists. Dalit's own history, therefore, has to capture the minds of sociologists and anthro-pologists today. The volume will be of immense interest to master level students as well as, researchers on the topic.
