DESCRIPTION
During the British rule, along with the freedom struggle different groups of Indian society were carrying on mass movement to improve their social and economic conditions. The labour movement was one such important movement. Although sufficient work has been done on the history of labour movement yet there are certain areas which need further probe especially the attitude of Gandhi and the extent of his involvement in this movement. In this work the author tried to find whether or not Gandhi's attitude or his ideology was in favour of the labour movement and how far he influenced the labour movement.
