An attempt is made in these volumes to examine the different facets of the health care provided by the Primary Health Centres (PHC). Authors from diverse backgrounds such as social medicine, medical anthropology, health policy administration sociology, social work, geography, economics and demography bring critical perspectives from their respective specializations. These volumes have four sections that provide insights on concepts as well as empirical evidences on organization and infrastructure of PHCs performance and utilization of services at PHCs inter-sectoral programmes and emerging issues in health and health care delivery.
