The book depicts the remarkable journey of a former Director General of Police (DGP), born to parents from a humble background, starting schooling at the age of 7 years in a remote village but ultimately achieving such heights as to get in the IPS in 1957 and receiving coveted decorations of Police Medal for Meritorious Service and President Police Medal for Distinguished Service. During his more than thirty years of police career, he had the taste of melodramatic events and experienced various ups and downs and weathered the storms and straits successfully.
