The Kaulajnananirnaya, which embodies the most esoteric teachings of the tradition of the Yogini Kaula School is ascribed to the great Sadguru Matsyendranatha.
One of India's most famous philosophers and tantric scholars, Abhinavagupta 10th century honoured Matsyendranatha with the title of father of Yoga for his teachings to achieve the goal of Yoga the non duality state. For Yoga practitioners, the Kaulajnananirnaya provides access to the sources of important concepts and offers a broader understanding of primeval spiritual paths. This work is of special value to scholars of the Indian Tantric traditions.
Pandit Satkari Mukhopadhyaya the eminent Sanskrit linguist and expert on ancient scripts has prepared the present edition based on a meticulous study of the original manuscript written in ancient Newari Script. This exceptional work is now presented in Devanagari and Romanized versions. The most important feature is a thorough and faithful English translation completed by Pandit Mukhopadhyaya in close collaboration with Stella Dupuis a long time practitioner of Yoga meditation and Siddhi techniques.
Dupuis provides a commentary on the esoteric teachings and raise questions about the literal interpretation of the tantric scripts. In the spirit of the Kaulajnananirnaya she goes beyond preconceived ideas to open windows for a more subtle understanding of the tantric alchemy. |
