The Book is divided in six chapters. The main principles of Purvamimamsa system of Indian Philosophy have been discussed in separate chapters. The Introduction gives a detail survey of the controversy as found in Original Texts of Mimamsa and Heterodox systems and the survey of modern research. The next chapter deals with the refutation of Vedapauruseyatva, the third Svatahpramana. The fourth Sabdanityayva and the fifth Pramanas. At the Beginning of these chapters position of Mimamsa regarding that particular topic has been discussed. The Views of exponents of heterodox systems viz. the Carvaka system, Jayarasi from the Carvaka system Bhavaviveka, Dinnaga, Dharmakirti and Santaraksita from Buddhism Prabhacandra and Ratnaprabhasuri from Jainism, have been taken into consideration for the purpose of refutation whenever found necessary. Concluding remarks contain the Criticism made by modern scholars and the Examination of refutation made by heterodox systems against the Mimamsakas.
