Social development is an integral part of any society for the development and prosperity of the people living in the nation. It is multidimensional in nature. It includes variegated aspects and areas such as eradication of poverty hunger gender equality education health reducing child mortality, maternal health economic development educational development, rural tribal and urban development, social welfare creation of a new social order, industrialization agricultural development and a host of other things. There is an urgent need for more focus on micro, meso and macro levels of development perspectives. There is also a need for foundation for a vibrant democracy, growth of productivity and income and employment opportunities. India’s progress over the next few decades across the region in different aspects as mentioned above will certainly take our nation to the greatest peak in the world level.
