DESCRIPTION
Teaching is as an international activity performed with the purpose of bringing about learning. Teaching skills help to deepen one’s understanding and skills which would lead any one to explore issues of leadership, motivation and empowerment, conflict management, and cultural competence toward a general construal of goal-directed activities as skills. It is not just that skill talk is nowadays endemic in educational circles, but also that there has been a marked modern shift to conceptions of professional preparation, such as “competence based” programs, which seem disposed to a skill construal of all aspects of teaching, managerial and disciplinary as well as pedagogical. “Teaching Skills” gives practical ideas of how to adjust teaching methods to cater effectively to the different learning styles of students.
