Between the ‘easy to use’ hype and non-availability of any sound theory, there is a need for solid, practical advice for getting the most out of DDC. The present book has been written with a view to infest confidence among library and information science students and professionals for numbers building through DDC 22. The book discusses in detail various titles and approaches for construction of call numbers. In order to develop sound understanding of various tables, flow diagrams have been used. For the first time an attempt has been set forth to identify various stages of learners and titles have been dealt exclusively for them.
The book is aimed at Library and Information science professionals seeking professional development, and for students at Graduate/Post-Graduate levels. |
