DESCRIPTION
Cognitive science is the attempt to study cognitive phenomena in a way not unlike the way the physical sciences study material phenomena. Physics includes mechanics, the study of the laws of motion of elementary material things. Chemistry includes the study of the synthesis of material substances from other material substances in the light of knowledge of their atomic constituents and internal structures. In recent years the field of cognitive science has been taken to include the study of the relevant aspects of the neuroanatomy brain and nervous system.
