Holy Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) taught and emphasized that all men are equal, regardless of their creed, caste and financial status. There should be no discrimination against the poor or even the slaves. He, on the contrary, stressed on. the emancipation of slaves. He announced great rewards on setting slaves free. Actually, he intended to abolish the age-long tradition of slavery. As a result of his meticulous efforts, thousands of slaves got freedom in his own time, either at his own hand or at the hands of his pious followers and later by true and faithful Muslims, in successive periods. Thanks to Allah, ultimately, slavery came to an end. Islam puts particular emphasis on the attainment of education and gain of knowledge. Islam also condemns the practice of monarchy and monopoly. The Prophet (Pbuh), for the first time in history, introduced the concept of democracy and human rights.
Present work, titled as, Prophet's Teaching and Faith and Belief, is a bopld initiative in the right direction. Well-tailored and research, the book, is the fruition of tremendous task, undertaken by a group of researchers. It's an asset for all scholars. |
