DESCRIPTION
Classification is a tool for organizing the document stores or library. A document is the physical carrier of a message. A document may be in various forms like book, films, slides, periodicals, newspapers, cards bearing the names and addresses of local organizations in a reference library files and machine readable media. The messages that documents bear may be simple facts, views, interpretations of events or works of art. When these tasks become too great to be performed informally, it is institutionalized.
