DESCRIPTION
As the name of the suggests, this volume contains thirty eight articles and papers on different themes. Packed with facts and figures and case studies from different countries, these present a panoramic view of dynamics of human development efforts. Based on empirical field study by the author as a Village Level Worker for a period of ten years from 1953-1963 and as a Lecturer in Gandhi gram Rural Institute for a period of seven years and as a faculty around ten years in Small Industry Extension Training Center in Hyderabad and as a Professor at Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok around nine years and as a Consultant to some international organizations of various countries, the articles and papers included herein were written at different points of time. The titles of the articles and papers are self-explanatory in terms of focus and content and only one paper (A World Traveller) speaks of the Japanese method of planting paddy in lines which was introduced in India in 1952-53. Since the articles and papers deal with promotional and development issues, the reader may find some of the ideas repeated in a few articles and papers. Each unit in the book stands as self-contained.
