Sufism can better be understood from its original sources like Malfoozats of its spiritual guides. One such book is Khair-ul-Majalis, which contains the Malfoozats of Hazrat Sheikh Naseer-ud-din Mahmood Chiragh-i-Delhi (Lamp of Delhi) compiled by Molana Hameed Qalandar. It is a very well known source and needs no introduction. Its Persian text was long back published in 1957 and contains 100 discourses of the said saint whose original name was Muhammad Wahid. The Present book places before the reader its literal translation in order to adhere to its contents as closely as were written in the original and we could be sure as to what the said pious saint wanted to convey to his listeners. One cannot understand the type of Gnosticism followed by the Chishtiyas without going through this book and hence its importance is crystal clear.
