Health as a whole, consisting of physical, mental and social well-being, can lead to a better quality of life. The aim of health and physical education is to enable all students to enhance their quality of life through active living.
This book is designed to give students the opportunity of trying out different physical activities that are coupled with their own experience and interests. Students are to broaden their knowledge in the areas of sport and health, and gain the knowledge needed to be able to reflect independently over, and analyse ways and methods of, achieving health and well-being, both from an individual viewpoint as well as that of a civic perspective.
The book will lead to students to find different ways of conducting individual physical training, and develop and strengthen their health, both whilst at school, and later during further studies and working life. |
