A number of reference works have been published in recent years that include, but are not restricted to, biographical information about scientists. This volume is designed differently and in intended to meet several specific needs. It provides personal and professional information concerning scientists, including some whose accomplishments are undeservedly obscure. We have included scientists from Academics and laypersons, professionals and amateurs, all are figured in this volume.
