The present volume is an assemblage of assorted essays penned by the friends and admirers of Shri A.S. Bisht, a well known conservation professional of India. The contributions cover a variety of themes from conservastion of metal artifacts, manuscripts to analysis of ceramic titles and use of latest technology in the preservation of library holdings. In a way these essays are representative of the current advances being made in the field of conservation in India, which is on the threshold of an economic growth which will ultimately lead to more and more efforts for the preservation of cultural heritage in the country.
