Nanophysics, an essential element of Nanotechnology, is an interdisciplinary effort involving physicists, engineers and chemists. It is underway to develop new methods for manipulating and characterizing nanoscale structures for use in future integrated circuits, sensors and other nano-devices. Nanophysics issues of current interest for scientists include quantum dots and magnetic nanoparticles. The present book introduces the reader to Nanophysics and the related concepts in a manner that is easily accessible to them.
