DESCRIPTION |
|
Psychology deals with the scientific study of mind, its characteristics and different modes of function. Life is a very complex phenomenon, the intricacies of which are an uphill task to solve. In other words, mind is the controller of the whole body and its functions. Today, a teacher should essentially be a bit of a psychologist, in order to deal with students of different categories and background. Behaviour on the other hand is also a very comprehensive term and is directly related to mind. Human mind has to major portions, viz, conscious and sub conscious. The former is at work as long as man is awake and active, whereas the later one remains operational round the clock and during sleep also. Our movement, actions and reactions in dreams are governed by the sub-conscious part of the brain. Educational Psychology is one of the modern disciplines, which compliments and supplements other branches of knowledge and subjects and of education. As for education, its process too, is a complex one. Learning is joyful and a pleasing experience, if one is mentally composite and not disturbed, it has been proved that a concentrated and tranquil mind has enormous power of retention. Therefore, it is a must on the part of parents as well as teachers that they do not force a child to indulge in the study of a particular subject, if his or her behaviour indicates towards even a slightest resistance. A wastage of time and energy. It could also lead to irritation and frequent irritation in turn might result into betrayal or some misconduct. Present comprehensive book takes up all such issues, related to psychology with regard to education and offers the possible solutions to deal with them efficiently. Sincere suggestions, in this direction, would be appreciated and solicited. |
