Biopollutants in areial environment are the source domain for causing diseases in crops, humans and animals. Concentration of areial biological units (ABU) in air depends on geographical location, weather conditions and local source, if any. Along with a critical review on chronological developments of aeromycology in India, a key for visual identification of air borne particulates and comprehensive details of their occurrence, distribution and diurnal patterns of sixty fungal taxa belonging to different taxonomic groups, the impact of ABU on disease development in different crops Luffa, cylindrical, Cajans cajan and nine varieties of Brassica juncea has been represented and clue for specific disease forcasting is discussed. The health view point of human population has also been covered mainly in relation to allergenic manifestations, otomycosis and onycomy cosis caused by ABU.
