This study entitled 'Micro Teaching' discusses the development of Teacher Training programme in India. ‘Teachers to be taught and trained’ – is a relatively growing concept of found in educational societies all over the world, in the nineteenth and twentieth century. This book also traces the historical background of the educational policy and narrates that the government of India Resolution on Educational policy (1913) pointed out once again the inadequacy of the teaching staff and the training facilities. The book also examines the existing post graduate teacher education institutions. Micro-teaching is a system of controlled practice that makes it possible to concentrate on specific teaching behaviour and to practice teaching under controlled conditions.
