Dream Sequence continues the series of novels centring around a woman character, which started with Sakshi and continued through Nayantara, Anjolie, and Incident at Waverley, all Writer's Workshop, Culcutta and Dark Passion [Prestige]. This series is unrelated to the Anantpur Triology comprising The Wake of the Kingfisher (Adhyayan 2005), The Promise of Spring and The Rainbow and the the Convenant (Minerva) in the that the triology was conceptualized as a family saga, whereas the series encompasses the stories of various women.
