Please permit me to remind you that we belong to the noble profession of teaching and acclaimed by many as "real nation-builders". You will be happy to know that in the whole world today, we are more than fifty million and growing fact due to the international a campaign for all-Education for all. For promoting the solidarity of the teaching profession there are several thousand Teacher Federation/Association. India has several thousand-teacher federations; our State of U.P. has the largest number of teacher federations for teachers from pre-primary to university levels. I am sure some of you are members and office-bearers in these federations struggling the improve the status of the member through their federations. E.I. has an office in each continent and for Asia it is located in Malaysia.
