Hugo Munsterberg was an eminent German psychology of scientific management. He devoted considerable attention on the problem of scientific management, including economy of movement, the problem of monotomy, and issues of attention and fatigue. His aim was much border to sketch the outlines of a new science which is to intermediate between the modern laboratory psychology and the problems of economics. With this book, in other words, author hoped to bring psychological science into the service of marketplace.
