This compendium of eighteen papers, presented at a workshop, jointly organised by the centre for women's studies, Goa University, and the Goa state commission for Women, presents wide-ranging perspectives on various themes concerning women's health in goa. Providing an overview of health, policy and programmes, the contributors address a variety of issues pertaining to mental health, sex, sexuality, reproductivity, right to health and vulnerability of the aged in general and women in particular. They also look at the state of indigenous health care systems in Goa.
