This volume contains ethnographical reports on the tribal communities in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and some of Andhra Pradesh. Articles on the languages spoken by some of these communities have also been featured.
The communities have been arranged in the alphabetical order of their ethnonyms transliterated into English. Consisting of 108 articles, the volume has 42 photos, 63 maps and 2 line drawings.
The volume completes the survey of Dravidian Tribes, and contains reports of those who speak the Northern Dravidian languages or the Central Dravidian languages.
