"Kaziranga, leaves from a Forester's Notebook" is the story of the practical experiences of a Forest Officer during his service in the wilderness of Kaziranga, with a Foreword from Anwaruddhin Choudhury, the noted wildlife expert The book is about the men of Kaziranga National Part (KNP for short) and their hard slog being the symbols of valor, fidelity, sacrifice, sincerity and graciousness. The book vividly portrays about the watchful sentinels of the wild animals and the hazards faced by them while discharging their duties most sincerely and with utmost devotion. To accommodate the growing wild life population over the last 100 years, the Kaziranga National Park has expanded to 860 sq. km. from an original area of 200 sq. km. only. A World Heritage Site currently designated as the home of rhino with around 2000 of them as per latest estimates. A new census is due soon. The book covers many unknown aspects, which only one in the field can know.
