| With this volume we enter into the era of Indian Freedom Movement from where freedom fighters after Lahore Congress drafted a pledge on "Indian Independence Day" to be celebrated with discipline in each town of the country. This pledge enshrined, the fact the freedom from foreign rule was the outmost right of the Indian people and any oppressive government was liable to change. It started that British Rule in India has not only deprived the India people of their freedom but has exploited Indian masses and has also ruined India economically, politically, culturally and spiritually with demand of "Purna Swaraj" carried till the historic day 15th August 1947, the final goal of complete freedom was achieved but not without many irreparable losses like sacrifices of many martyrs as the tragedy of partition that Indian people faced. Thus the end of one hundred fifty years of British rule in India.
