Indian population is growing alarmingly because of various interrelated factors. With a view to brake the pace of population growth great emphasis has been giving on family welfare programmes since last few decades. But since Indian is a very vast country with great cultural and religious diversities and huge differentiation in educational attainment and economic advancement among different communities, uniform family welfare programmes are not so satisfactorily being productive.
