This book, Globalization Pre Modern India is a collection of divergent views on the singular theme of globalization process in pre modern India. The contributors to this edited book are reputed scholars and historians who have represented theoritical arguments and empirical data regarding the process of globalization. The authors assert that long before the colonial period in Indian history, Indians maintained commercial and cultural contact with the outside world, which continued to flourish even during the colonial period. In this way, the contributors have substantiated the thesis that pre modern India experienced the process of globalization.
