DESCRIPTION
The most obvious which one can ask is about the use of writing a book on Plant Breeding. No doubt, there are numerous books written by Indian and Foreign authors which can be regarded as master-piece in the subject. But they, however, do not satisfy the requirements of an average Indian Student. They are either too elaborate and advanced or too brief and elementary.
The author holds a little different view. A book in author's opinion should have easy and fluent language, expressive and self-explanatory diagrams. Concise but not too brief, written to the point starting from fundamentals and finishing to the most advanced and current concepts. Keeping all these in view, the author presents a book entitled "Plant Breeding" to the students of undergraduate and post-graduate levels in all the Indian Agricultural Universities. It is also offered at graduate level in Biology and post-graduate level of Botany in conventional universities.
