DESCRIPTION
Every physical education programme has one of its objectives to train students to participate in various national and international events of physical education, sports and athletics for competition. For participating in such events, formal training is highly necessary. The competence of the physical education teacher is affected by his pre-college experiences and, of course, by his college education. This book indicates desirable requisites for admission to professional curricula and describes functions of general, general professional and specialized professional education. Further, it identifies and explains twelve characteristics of professional education for physical education teaching.
