DESCRIPTION
Since the days of yore, the Hindu women were deprived of the fundamentals rights. If we come through the pages of history, we come through several aspects of their socio-economic life which was greatly confined to the cramped domestic environments. Thus their contribution in the development schemes of society was fairly limited. But there were a few exceptions with the active role of social reform, particularly in the last two centuries, the scenario was changed and we find a great change for the benifit of the women folk.
