The HIV/AIDS pandemic has become a human, social and economic disaster, with far-reaching implications for individuals, communities and countries. Each year there4 are more and more new HIV infections, which shows that people either aren't learning the message about the dangers of HIV, or are unable or unwilling to act on it. Education has a key role to play both in preventing HIV/AIDS and in mitigating its effects on individuals, families, communities and society. This book is about the use of education's life sustaining power to fight against HIV/AIDS pandemic. It shows the centrality of education to HIV prevention, and its use in reducing both the risk of HIV infection and people's vulnerability to HIV.
