The eastern region of India has been a playground of floods causing great losses almost every year particularly in agrarian/rural setting of the constituent states of this region. A National Seminar on Flood Devastation and Development in Eastern India was organised during 28-29 November 1997 by the Department of Agricultural Economics, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar. It was decided in this convention that "The best of 25 years" research output should be identified in such a way that the selected research output covers emerging issues of development process in agriculture. |
