DESCRIPTION
Dzatrul Ngawang Tenzin Norbu (1867-1940) was one of the eminent scholars and accomplished yogins from South-Western Tibet. He was the founder of Rongphu Ogyen Dongak Choling Monastery situated in the solitary lap of Mount Everest, Tibet. The site, where this monastery is located, has been visited and blessed by Guru Padmasambhava, Pha Dhampa Sangye, and numerous other saints and scholars of the past. During the notorious Cultural Revolution in Tibet, following its invasion by the brutal Chinese forces in 1959, majority of the original wooden blocks of his writings were burnt and demolished to a great deal. His works are known for their lucid expressions and profound spiritual instructions that are continued to be of tremendous benefit to this day. In an effort to preserve them, we strived to collect as many of his surviving works as possible from both within and outside Tibet. And to this end, we are quite successful in compiling majority of his works. The current edition of The Collected Works of Dzatrul Ngawang Tenzin Norbu has been reproduced from the surviving xylographs. It comprises of nine volumes, which include various materials such as; sadhanas, ritual practices, spiritual advices, instruction manual, inventories & lists of topics, and biographies.
