The fall of Vijayanagara empire caused the emergance of splinter states in South India and Deccan. these states collectively known as Poligars. They dominated the political scenario of the Souht India from the 16th to middle of the 19th century A.D. These Poligar state founded by the warrior tribes of South India; they eventually came to the mainstream of south Indian polity.
