With the outward cessation of cold war, the thawing of super power rivalry and the emergence of a uni-polar world, scholars pursuing studies in the relam of international affairs have, of late, embarked upon and oddessay of assesing and analyzing the factors and forces which wereinstrumental in creating a sustainable situation threatning to enehilate the very existence of all forms of life from the face of this planet, which we foundly call Mother Earth.
